Unique in Italy and among the very few in Europe to possess production capacity, flexibility and plant design, Fonderie Mora Gavardo guarantees a certified quality level of excellence that is constant over time and covers the entire range.
Fonderie Mora Gavardo implements advanced production technologies and applies its in-depth expertise to the entire process: feasibility study and co-design planning, simulation of the casting process and chemical formulation, heat treatments, mechanical processing and assemblies of possible accessory parts.
Cast iron foundry
Founded in 1945, it has a production capacity of 32,000 tonnes/per year. For small, mid and large-size grey-iron /graphitic castings (from 1 kg to 120 tonnes).
The furnace department operates five induction furnaces (two with a capacity of 55 tonnes, two with a capacity of 28 tonnes and one with a capacity of 5 tonnes). Grey cast iron: G15, G20, G25, G30, G35; Graphitic cast iron: EN-GJS-400, EN-GJS-500, EN-GJS-600, EN-GJS-700 and special cast irons: Si-Mo, Ni-Mo (high resistance), Ni-Re (amagnetic).
In the finishing phase, water-based solvents are used for plastering the moulds with refractory materials in order to reduce the impact on the environment whilst guaranteeing a better quality of casting.
Aluminium foundry
Manufactures aluminium items according to the drawings and surface treatments requested by the customer (mass-production of small and medium sized components, plus production of complex and large parts). We guarantee a perfect casting even for components with the most complicated design and we support product development by using the most advanced 3D SW design; (PRO -E) and SW simulation (PRO CAST).
